Know Your Well program gets sampling start at Waverly High
Students at Waverly High School, not far from Lincoln, were the among the first of what will be students from sixteen schools different across Nebraska to learn more about possible contaminants in their well water.

Journal of Environmental Quality publishes special section with links to UNL
A special section recently published in the Journal of Environmental Quality (ASA, SSA, SSSA) covering the state of science on antibiotics and antibiotic resistance in agricultural environments. This special section is a result of a recently held, USDA-funded workshop organized by Lisa Durso, Jeannie McLain (University of Arizona, Tucson) and Water Sciences Laboratory services director Dan Snow at the 2015 Biosphere.

The Syr Darya River is the largest river in southern Kazakhstan, and is one of the two major rivers which supply fresh water to the rapidly dissappearing Aral Sea in central Asia.
